After a long and busy week, we at WhereMyFoodAt decided a visit to a café was very much needed. To kick back and relax we visited the serene Panini Café at Grand Hyatt. Set in a unique environment with wooden hulls on ceilings and an indoor garden, you’re rest assured this café will most definitely transport you from the hustle and bustle of the busy streets in Dubai.
Walking into Panini was an escape to a beautiful spread of carefully crafted pastry and desserts. If that wasn’t enough, they also offer gourmet ice cream, pies, sandwiches, and a whole lot more goodies.
We ordered a Cappuccino and a Salted Caramel Gelato Milkshake to kick things off; the Cappuccino left us amazed with its presentation in a see through cup. The milkshake was to die for; the salted caramel gelato added a perfect touch of saltiness to the Milkshake without seeming too strong.
Sticking with the classics, we ordered a Cheese Croissant and a Raspberry Danish. The croissant was perfectly baked buttery and light topped with melted cheese. The raspberry danish lathered with a sticky glaze and raspberry was crisp, golden and baked to perfection.
To top our little escape, we couldn’t stop admiring the Tartufo as we tried to oh so painfully pick a dessert from their massive collection and we just had to try it. As we sliced into the perfectly round chocolate ganache, the intricate layering of white chocolate mousse over a slightly tough biscuit all blended together brilliantly. This would definitely be a chocolate-lover’s dream dessert. Although we felt it was too rich to be devoured by one individual person on their own.
What was a random getaway is now definitely going to be a regular affair; the atmosphere coupled with the decadent array of pastries to offer is a feature that makes Panini stands out from the rest.
