DIY – Sea Salt Nutella Cookies

Been a long long time since we’ve cooked up or in this case baked something fun and delicious for everyone to try out. A combination of inspiration and craving led us to drum up the idea of making the oh-so-divine gooey thick nutella cookies that we love!

To start off, we mixed together 100 grams of butter with 2/3 cup of sugar till the butter starts to melt

Then we add 2 eggs & a teaspoon of vanilla extract and whisk together the mixture until it’s well incorporated

In a separate bowl, mix together 2 cups of flour with 1 teaspoon of baking soda. Slowly add the flour in stages to the mixture while carefully whisking

Add a cup of your prefered chocolate chucks (we used semi sweet Hersheys chocolate chips)

It is crucial that the mixture and the nutella is refrigerated for at least an hour!
Pinch a small portion of the dough and flatten, add a teaspoon of the (cold) nutella in the middle and top with a little sea salt. Slowly fold the edges to form a ball

Place carefully on a baking tray and bake for 10mins on medium to high heat, keep a close eye on the cookies as they may get overcooked and you will lose out on the gooey-ness of the nutella
