Cafe Review – Circle Cafe

A Breakfast Date is always an exciting plan, especially when its on a weekend. We were having one of those days where our mood was to just sit back in a restaurant or cafe with an amazing ambience and some really good food to go along with it. Luckily for us, Circle Cafe located at the Ground Level of Dubai Mall came to our rescue. On the day of its launch, Circle Cafe created alot of buzz all over Dubai, and after our tasting session, we could understand why. Not only is the decor sleek, minimal and very sophisticated, but the location of Circle Cafe situated at a corner, gives the cafe an exclusive factor, and the sound of the waterfall adds to the peaceful and tranquil vibe.
But then again, what good is a restaurant if the food isn’t spot on? Well, luckily for Circle Cafe we are big breakfast-eaters and everything we tried left us satisfied.
To begin with our tasting we ordered our drinks of Cappuccino and Green Tea and then began to go through the menu to see what catches our eyes.
We ended up ordering the Eggs Benedict which consists of two poached eggs, sautéed spinach with garlic, béarnaise sauce and salmon served on bread of your choice – we opted for bagel. Since we’ve had about a million Eggs Benedict’s , the only criticism we could give is that the eggs weren’t runny enough. The béarnaise sauce however was delightful and a clever replaced to the hollandaise sauce and the bagel was soft and fresh. The salmon was smoked perfectly and complemented the spinach very well.
We also tried the Circle French Toast which is slices of brioche bread topped with caramelized butterscotch bananas. There is no wonder this french toast is one of the best sellers at circle cafe. The brioche was soft and melted in our mouths, the bananas were caramelized faultlessly with a delicious outer crunch, and the sweetness of the butterscotch didn’t overpower the dish, which is such a relief!
To end our fabulous meal we opted for the famous Gluten Free chocolate mousse tart. Although this tart is gluten free, we can safely say that this is the BEST chocolate tart we’ve had. This tart deliciously rich, gooey and heavenly – features all chocolate desserts should possess. We loved how the richness did not stop us from devouring this tart, and licking our plate clean! There is absolutely no way you could pay a visit to Circle Cafe and not try this dessert out.
