During the week we paid a visit to every chocolate lover’s fantasy land fondly known as Godiva Chocolate Cafe!
It was a special visit since we had the opportunity to get a sneak peak of the festive goodies that Godiva has to offer, and ofcourse relish a lot of them too (yay!).
What added a spark to our experience was the presence of Philippe Daue who is a renowned chocolatier of Godiva. Not only does he have the most sweetest personality but he also invited us into the kitchen to give a shot at making chocolate strawberries too (which tasted divine BTW).
Once we were done with our chocolate masterclass, we were then given a tour of all the festive goodies that pose as brilliant gifts for friends and loved ones. From the quality to the packaging, every single detail was given thorough attention to give you that true Christmas feeling.
Ofcourse, you can’t go to Godiva and not try some of their signature menu items. So that’s exactly what we did. We began by “chugging” Godiva Chocolate Shots made purely of premium quality milk chocolates.
We then moved to having the best Hot Chocolate we’ve had yet! The hot chocolate was deliciously rich, not too thick and extremely creamy making it perfect for the winter season.
Along with our drinks, we also ordered the Godiva Milk Chocolate Sin cake which is a decadently glazed almond cake layered with creamy milk chocolate ganache and velvety chocolate mousse, hazelnut praline & crunchy feuilletine.
We loved the element of crunch in this dessert and how the layers were perfectly balanced. We were also amazed by how the “Cocoa Bean” on top of the cake was made purely of milk chocolate and did not taste too sweet or rich. This dessert is definitely a must try if you’re paying a visit to Godiva.
