Like any other Lebanese eatery you would find in Lebanon, KrisKros Lebanon duplicates the exact same set up as well, which is of course their intension. Kris Kros, located on Sheikh Zayed Road is a cozy little restaurant that boasts classic and authentic Lebanese dishes.
It was evident that a lot of effort had been put into the smallest of details at Kris Kros Lebanon. The menu itself represented that of a Lebanese passport, something we found very innovative and quirky. As for the food itself, there were quite a few dishes that impressed us and a few, not soo much.
The chicken shawarma rolls for instance grabbed our attention when we glanced through it in the menu and tasted unique too. These are basically chicken shawarma filling wrapped within a filo pastry and served with a garlic dip and pickles on the side.
We also tried the roast beef sandwich that was absolutely delightful. Just like how we used savor it in our childhood days, the roast beef was tender and melts in our mouth. Definitely a must try if you happen to pass by KrisKros.
We also enjoy the Falafel which is a deep fried patty made from ground chickpeas. We ordered the “half dozen” that comes with vegetables and tarator sauce.
Next, we tried the best of them all – the halloumi and beef bacon wrap. A mouth watering combination indeed, this wrap was juicy, crunchy and gooey.
The let down at KrisKros however were the desserts, that weren’t up to mark as compared to their savory dishes. The knefeh for instance wasn’t of the right consistency and flavor and the toasted Nutella too didn’t satisfy our sweet cravings.
However, once Kris Kros Lebanon works on their desserts, they will slowly and surely be among some of the best street food eateries in Dubai.
