Located on the 15th floor of the Emirates Financial Towers in DIFC lies a fine dining restaurant that exhibits London’s purveyor of refined Indian cuisine.
After repeated visits to Mint Leaf of London, we’ve gathered that its not just the gastronomical adventure that wows us, but the ambience, vibe and service too that adds to the experience.
And of course, the breath taking view that is another bonus for you to enjoy.
We were happy to be part of the Mint Leaf of London “New Menu” launch a few weeks ago where we were served tasting portions of some of the new items in the menu.
Good news for those of you who like to indulge in Indian food that is flavorful, rich AND healthy; Mint Leaf’s menu caters to al your needs! We’re talking about a quinoa kebab called “Quinoa Crusted Subz Seekh” with tamarind chutney that had a really good texture and ofcourse was super healthy too.
We also tried the “Lasooni Jheenga” which is roasted tiger prawns with garlic puree and green chutney. The prawn was cooked perfectly and presented beautifully. The green chutney complimented the prawn perfectly too.
Another favorite among the starters were the Tandoori Salmon with Mustard and Herb Marinade. The salmon was flaky and the mustard added the perfect among of heat ; A well balanced dish that is rich in flavor.
We also tried the Curry Leaf and Herb Oil chicken tikka and “Gosht Ke Gole” which is a lamb seekh kebab with romero peppers and quinoa biryani that were bursting with flavor, yet not to heavy to eat.
We were then presented with a selection of healthy and delectable curries to try, from which our favorites had to be the “Fishermen’s Prawn” curry with tiger prawns, lemongrass, kaffir lime and garlic. This curry had a tangy and spicy twist on it that had a zing of sweetness too. It tasted almost like the curry had a bit of a thai-inspired twist to it. Another favorite was the Dal Makhani that tasted absolutely rich and flavorful.
To end our meal, we devoured a signature dessert of Mint Leaf which is the Gulab Jamun Cheesecake.
