Hotel Review – Taj Dubai

About Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces:
Taj is renowned all over for its assurance of providing the best hospitality, be it any part of the world. But it’s not just their impeccable hospitality that enables this group of hotels to shine through, but their quest to bring in unique beauty and traditions from across India in an experience that highlights true Indian hospitality. At present, Taj encompasses 100 hotels in 62 locations in India alone and has also extended its international presence with 15 hotels in the Maldives, Malaysia, UK, USA, Africa and Dubai!

First Impressions of the Taj Dubai:
As we stepped into the hotel, we were astonished as we noticed the sheer grace and elegance on the interiors of the lobby. We been to a fair share of hotels in the Middle East, but what stood out as we stepped into Taj Dubai was brilliant combination of rich and traditional Indian artistry with a modern twist. We were greeted by a very friendly lady at the reception who swiftly completed the check in process and escorted us to our room.
Getting There:
Taj Dubai is blessed with a premium location of being surrounded by some of the most iconic destinations in Dubai. If you’re travelling from another country, below are a few transportation modes you can opt for.
By Private/Public Taxi: Taj Dubai is only a 20 minute drive from Dubai International Airport (it will cost you roughly 40-50 dirhams) and a 40 minute drive from Al Maktoum International Airport (it will cost around 80 – 90 dirhams). You could use the public taxis that are lined up at airports or you could coordinate with the concierge and arrange for a pick and drop service to the hotel.
By Metro: The option of metro is available if you’re landing at the Dubai International Airport. The nearest metro station to the hotel is “Business Bay” (about 12 to 13 stations away).

Located at the Heart of the City:
What’s unique about Taj Dubai’s location is that it’s at near proximity to some of the most iconic tourist spots in Dubai. In just a matter of a few minutes, you’ll find yourself at the buzzing Downtown Dubai – the most premium spot for shopping, sightseeing and dining. If that doesn’t excite you, then probably the fact that The Dubai Mall, the world’s largest mall, that’s just a hop, skip and a jump away might. The central location of the Taj Dubai makes it super convenient for tourists to travel all over the city without the burden of excess travelling.
Nearby Tourist Destinations Include: The Dubai Mall, Burj Khalifa (world’s tallest building), Burj Al Arab, Dubai Creek, Ski Dubai, Dubai Museum, Mall of the Emirates etc.
Convenient Stores Include: nearby Pharmacies like Super Care, Boots etc. , ATMs/Banks like Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, Emirates NBD, Mashreq Bank etc, nearby Money Exchanges like Wall Street Exchange, Al Ansari Exchange etc., Supermarkets include Al Maya Supermarket, Waitrose etc.

Our Stay at the Luxury Room:
No matter how old we get or how regular this may be, nothing tops the excitement of entering your hotel room for the first time. We spent our day and night at the Luxury Room with a view of the Burj Khalifa. The regal decor of the room was impeccable due to its spacious interiors, concoction of chic textural furnishing and sophisticated and neutral tones.
Special features of the room include: complementary WiFi, a 42 inch LED TV, Nespresso Coffee Machine, en-suite bathroom with two sinks and bathtub (the bathroom is equipped with luxurious Molton Brown toiletries).
The View: The highlight of the entire room has to be the view of the magnificent Burj Khalifa standing proud and tall. We remember that exact moment very well as we approached the floor to ceiling glass window and gazed in amusement and awe for a good 15 minutes. The best part? You can never get tired of this view! Although the view is the same, the outlook changes as the day progresses. At night, you get to experience the entire Burj Khalifa glitter up with light and you get to enjoy the view of the Dubai Fountains (largest in the world) in the comfort of your own room. Bliss!
Afternoon Leisure:
Soon after we were done exploring the hotel and our room, we headed over to Jiva Spa to blow off some steam at the pool. We had an enjoyable time at the Infiniti pool that was perfect to beat the heat. Unfortunately, our stay was during the Holy Month of Ramadan, hence the swim-up bar was closed. Nevertheless we had a wonderfully relaxing time.
Iftar at Tesoro:
We got to experience a very Lavish Iftar at Tesoro – a global eatery that showcases several cultures and cuisines. We’ve included Tesoro in our round up of some of the best Iftar buffets in Dubai. Click here to read the review.
Breakfast in Bed:
We spend our last few moments in our Luxury Room gazing at the view (so surprises here) and indulging in a delectable spread of Room Service Breakfast. We had requested for our breakfast to arrive at 11am, and it came exactly on time. The eggs and pancakes were served piping hot and cooked perfectly delicious. We also loved the freshly baked bread and pastries that were crisp and delicious. Make sure to order their “Masala Chai” (spiced tea) that was a first for us when it came to Room Service Breakfast. Loved every element of our meal; it was the perfect way to bid farewell to our enchanting stay.
Our Verdict:
If service and hospitality is significant for you to have the most unforgettable stay, then look no further than Taj Dubai (or any other Taj hotel for that matter). It’s the tiny details that make one feel welcome… feel like home. We’re usually very cynical and straightforward when it comes to hotel reviews, but we honestly couldn’t find fault with Taj Dubai. They say you know you’re in a Taj Hotel when you experience their service. We truly agree with that statement, and urge you to try it to believe it yourself.

Perfect For:
Unwinding, Romantic Getaways, Family Vacations, Corporate Stays
