Hotel Review – The Address Hotel Dubai Marina

Our Sweet Escape Amidst a Concrete Jungle:
If you take a glimpse at our previous staycation posts around the UAE, you’ll notice us having an inclination towards outlying areas of the country where hotels (and resorts) are secluded and away from the city life. That’s partly because we were under the preconceived notion that peace and tranquility cannot be found in a frenetic city like Dubai. Until now.
The Rise of a new Lifestyle Destination:
Standing proud and tall in the heart of Dubai’s most energetic vicinities, lies The Address Dubai Marina that’s part of The Address Hotels & Resorts – one of the most recognized global luxury lifestyle brands. The five star premium hotel that has been running for about six years now overlooks the world’s largest manmade marina and is directly linked to the popular Dubai Marina Mall. Not only were we blown away by the sheer exquisiteness protruded by the hotel, but we also significantly admired the premium level of hospitality and service offered during our stay.

Getting There:
Since we reside in Dubai, we chose to drive up to The Address using GPS and it was relatively easy to find the hotel. However if you’re travelling from another country, below are a few options :-
Via Taxi: You could use Public Taxis that are lined up at airports (the hotel is approximately 30 minutes away from Dubai International Airport and 20 minutes away from Dubai World Central – Al Maktoum International Airport). The cost would come up to Dhs 120 approximately.
Via Metro & Tram: This is the cheapest alternative, however it’s going to cost you some time. The airport has its own Metro Stations (Terminal 1 & Terminal 3), which will eventually lead you to Dubai Marina Mall Tram Station (the switch from Metro to Tram has to be done at Damac Metro Station).
Via Airport Transfer Services Provided by The Address Dubai Marina: If you are skeptical about opting for the above two public transport options, you can always contact the hotel (contact number mentioned at the bottom of the post) 24 hours prior to your flight and request for airport limousine transfer.

The Neighborhood:
Easily accessible from all Dubai airports, The Address Dubai Marina is also within close proximity  of Dubai Media City, Dubai Internet City and some of the largest business hubs in the region. The hotel is also directly linked to Dubai Marina Mall that nestles over 160 stores including a cinema. One of the major highlights while staying at The Address Dubai Marina is the view of the magnificent marina that is a vibrant concoction of crystal clear waters, luxury yachts and trend setting restaurants.
Nearby Tourists Attractions Include: Dubai Marina Mall, Dubai Marina Yacht Club, Pier 7, The Dubai Mall, Arabian Ranches Golf Course, The Old Town Island etc.
Convenient Stores Include: Pharmacies like Life Pharmacy and Super Care, Banks and ATMs like Emirates NBD and United Arab Bank, money transfers like Al Ansari Exchange at Dubai Marina Mall.

Upon Arrival:
As we approached the reception, we noticed the lobby at The Address was dimly lit, minimal in style and wasn’t too fancy or spacious. At the reception, we were greeted by Madina, an extremely pleasant and joyful being who took the time to show us around the hotel and guide us to our room as well. She was very attentive and seemed to have good knowledge about the hotel (she answered all our questions and queries without the slightest bit of hesitation).

Our Suite:
The immaculately designed furnishing of the luxurious guest rooms at The Address Dubai Marina shout out elegance and comfort. We stayed at the spacious “Premier Suite” that offers breathtaking views of the marina. The design of the entire suite was very tasteful and elegant. As soon as we stepped into our suite, we were greeted in the Living Room with a table full of delicious sweet treats including chocolate dipped strawberries, dates, fruits, chocolates and a customized chocolate cake with our logo printed on it! The bathroom was extremely spacious, well equipped, spotless and had a giant glass door that overlooked the marina. As for the bedroom, the highlight has to be the king size bed which we feel most definitely possesses strong “gravitational pull” powers that make you want to lay in bed all day. Another spectacular feature of our bedroom are the two perpendicular floor to ceiling glass walls that give you the most fabulous views be it day or night.
Special Features in the Suite Include:
– Two 40 inch Flat Screen TVs that are operated using iPads (not remote controllers) and also contain a list of TV channels and movies to choose from. The best part? We were also provided with 3D glasses to watch movies in 3D as well. A first of its kind in the region!
– Balcony overlooking the serene views of the marina.
– The iGenie which is an iPad that controls the TV, lighting, temperature of the suite, in room dining, concierge etc.
– iPod docking station.
– Gourmet Coffee and Tea station and a Fully stocked Mini Bar.
– Premium toiletries.
Our View:
As mentioned earlier, the hotel overlooks the world’s largest marina and manmade development. Words and pictures could never quite appropriately describe the serenity and joy of waking up to the glistening views of the waters and countless luxury yachts keep passing by. Peaceful by day and stimulating by night, one can never get satiated by this view. We, for sure, want to go back and relive those moments all over again.

The Infinity Pool:
The swimming pool is connected to Shades Poolside Lounge and was buzzing with hotel guests. Being one of the largest pools in the marina, we couldn’t wait to dip our feet into the pool while sipping on some fresh and chilled tender coconut water. Bliss!
The pool is 45 meters long  with a spectacular view and is lined with private cabanas for you to laze on.

Friday Brunch at Mazina:
We had the most wonderful time at Mazina’s Friday Brunch where we got to savor some delectable food paired with some fascinating live music. Click here to read about our in depth review on Mazina’s Friday Brunch.
Evening Relaxation:
After a hectic day of brunching and swimming by the pool (not that we’re complaining) , we decided to sit back and relax whilst enjoying the comfort of watching 3D movies in our living room. With the help of iGenie, we made a decision on which movie we wanted to watch and soon after we pressed play, we were redirected to a screen where we could order movie treats. How cool?! Make sure to order their Wasabi Popcorn (beware, it’s extremely spicy) and Nachos.
Dinner at Shades:
As soon as the sun sets, the entire pool area is then magically transformed into Shades – a “chill out” lounge that offers an innovative al fresco dining inspired by cuisines from the Mediterranean to the Far East. You also get Shisha that’s served daily from 6pm to 1am. We started off with the Green Mango and Papaya Salad with Grilled King Prawns, Peanut, Cilantro, Mint Leaves and Vietnamese Dressing. If you love sweet and spicy Asian flavors, then this salad is definitely for you. Also, we loved the generosity of this dish and the prawns were cooked perfectly! We also tried the Address Spa Salad filled with Chicken, Quinoa, Mixed Greens, Avocado, Berries, Olives, Pecorino and Greek Vinaigrette. Although this salad was lacking a bit of dressing, we loved the freshness and combination of ingredients used in this salad.
For mains, we tried the Chicken Shish Taouk and the Fish and Chips. The Shish Taouk was definitely our favorite. It was perfectly marinated, cooked until tender and is healthy too. Loved it! Finally for dessert, we had the Sticky Toffee Pudding and the Tiramisu. Although the Tiramisu was a bit of a letdown, the Sticky Toffee Pudding definitely stole the show for us. The pudding was gooey, moist and delicious. And the sticky caramel sauce was to die for!
The Bill:
Green Mango and Papaya Salad – Dhs 65
The Address Spa Salad with Chicken – Dhs 85
Chicken Shish Taouk – Dhs 105
Fish and Chips – Dhs 80
Tiramisu – Dhs 40
Sticky Toffee Pudding – Dhs 40

Breakfast in Bed:
Our last few moments at The Address Dubai Marina were spent at our gorgeous suite where we got to indulge in a delectable spread of Room Service Breakfast which gazing at the serene views of the Marina. We had the Full English Breakfast and Eggs Benedict along with some freshly cut fruits and pastries that were beautifully presented. We enjoyed this breakfast to an extent that we honestly wished time stood still.
Our Verdict:
As much we loved the luxury and opulence of the Address Hotel Dubai Marina, what stood out the most for us was the charismatic hospitality offered by the staff and management. If you’re a tourist or a resident of Dubai, we strongly recommend experiencing the beauty and flamboyance of this hotel. We can guarantee, you won’t be disappointed.
