Restaurant Review – The Pavilion

A Pocket Friendly Brunch for your lazy weekends:
Brunches that aren’t about the free flow of alcohol and solely focus on what’s more important – the food, is what attracts us like moths to a flame. One such brunch is the at The Pavilion that has been sitting high on the WhereMyFoodAt “recommendation list” for one of the Best Brunches in Dubai for a long, long time.
Recently, we learned that “The Bench” (that’s what the brunch is called) has amped up its menu with new additional hot dishes to chose from. We Obviously had to head back there!
The concept of “The Bench” is essentially an enormous wooden table (or bench) adorned with an assortment of pastries, sandwiches, cereals, cold cuts, cheeses, fresh fruits and freshly squeezed juices in individual bottles, all beautifully presented and the best part? Its unlimited!
You also get a choice of a hot beverage and a main dish from the kitchen to choose from. We opted for “Two Eggs” cooked as per our preference – sunny side up, with turkey bacon, chicken sausage, mushrooms, baked vine tomatoes and potato. All the elements in this dish tasted wholesome, comforting and delicious; perfect for our ginormous appetites. We also opted for the Quinoa Salad filled with quinoa, beetroot, goat’s cheese, asparagus, lettuce and a tahini lemon dressing. The salad unfortunately disappointed us in terms of taste. The combination of Tahini and goat’s cheese didn’t quite click for us and the addition of beetroot was scarce. Instead, try their Eggs Benedict and Shakshuka Eggs that impressed us during our previous visit.
