Cooking with Chef Cristina Mennah

First Ever Masala! Masterclass:
A couple of weeks ago, we along with the leading influencers and bloggers from the food industry in Dubai headed to the Top Chef Cooking Studio located in Jumeirah to cook a simple but absolutely mouth watering three course gourmet meal under the watchful eyes of Chef Cristina Menah who with her expertise in South American and Thai cuisine, has recently joined the Top Chef cooking team. We were absolutely thrilled and delighted to be a part of Masala! Magazine’s first ever masterclass along with Lekha Menon, the Editor of Masala! Magazine, who organized this event perfectly and made us feel oh so welcome.

Cooking with Chef Cristina:
Chef Cristina was an absolute pleasure to cook with in it kitchen. It was a complete satisfaction for us to watch her demonstrate her expertise in different cooking techniques and show us how easy it is to produce delicious food. We started off with “Quinoa and Lentil Salad with a Poached Egg”. Right from finely dicing onions to perfectly poaching the eggs, Chef Cristina patiently assisted us throughout the whole process. We then learned how to perfectly stuff cannelloni for our main course which was “Roasted Chicken with Ricotta and Spinach Cannelloni”. Last but not the least, we learned the art of baking a decadent and sinfully gooey chocolate fondant as well that (if we say so ourselves) tasted immaculate!
The entire evening was filled with fun, laughter, good company and more importantly – great food! A big big Thank You to Masala! Magazine, Top Chef Cooking Studio and Chef Cristina for an enjoyable and memorable time; it was truly a wonderful and informative evening.
