After the success of its launch in Abu Dhabi, La Pâtisserie des Rêves finally steps foot in Dubai to wow its guests with some of the most genuine and purely delicious French pastry.
About La Pâtisserie des Rêves:
The patisserie was founded in France, where its classic French pastries took Paris by storm. The great gourmet classics like the Paris-Brest, Saint Honore and the Vanilla Mille-Feuille never ceases to please its customers be it in Paris, Japan, Milano or Abu Dhabi. Situated at the recently opened extension of City Walk, lies a cozy little bakery tucked away from the hustle and bustle of busy shoppers in the vicinity. It’s a place, where one can truly embark on a magical experience where pastries are given a theatrical setting and utmost significance.
We know La Pâtisserie des Rêves is fondly known for its decadent pastries, but we decided to try out a few items from their savory menu as well, because why not? We tried their Quinoa Salad that looked appetizingly delicious! The salad comprised of crunchy kale, dried cranberries, apricots, toasted almonds, coriander and parsley with a lemon cumin dressing. We also tried the Club Sandwich that comprised of toasted artisan bread filled with smoked paprika chicken, fried egg, crispy veal, avocado, tomato, lettuce, emmental cheese, tartare mayonnaise and french fries on the side. It’s probably not one of the best clubs we’ve had, but it’s delicious nevertheless.
The highlight of our meal would most definitely (and obviously) have to be the sweet treats. We tried the Éclair Cafe, the very famous Paris Brest and St. Honore. The choux dough of the éclair was soft, light and airy and generously filled with coffee cream that wasn’t too strong or overpowering. We loved the quirky and unique presentation of the éclair as well. The Paris Brest, another French classic, tasted decadent as well. The praline flavored cream tasted rich, but not too sweet and had a slight hint of bitterness as well which we loved. We loved the distinctive presentation of the St. Honore as well. The puff pastry at the base was cooked perfectly and had a nice crunch to it, the layer of pâte à choux (choux pastry) was perfectly soft and airy as well and we loved the addition of the mini cream puffs, crème chiboust and whipped cream. Tasted perfectly traditional and simply delicious!
Its also worth mentioning that their Blackberry Latte is to die for! Not only is it delicious, but it’s a perfect example of how to mix up an ordinary latte.
