Masterclass – Cooking with Chef Tom Aikens

Last week we had a very special Masterclass with two Michelin starred chef Tom Aikens at his first venture in Dubai at Pots, Pans & Boards. We say its “special” for the sole purpose that Tom Aikens will not just recreate one of our signature recipes, but the dessert would be sold at Pots, Pans and Boards the entire month! Clearly we were super excited!
We were completely honored to be standing right next to one of the best chefs in the world and watch him slip in a little magic of his own into our recipe. Our “Sticky Banana Cake” (click here for the original recipe) was given a wintery twist with the addition of a variety of spices like cloves, ginger, vanilla and home roasted 5 spice to elevate the flavors of our original recipe. The combination of spices paired with beautifully ripe bananas, salted caramel and a light banana cake sponge tasted absolutely wholesome and indulgent. Needless to say, we loved it!
