Reserve at the Best Restaurants with Eat!

Restaurant reservations now made easy. Finally!
Is it just us or does everyone loathe the burden of calling a restaurant and making a reservation with very little hope of being successful in the first try? If you find yourself in a dilemma of intending to dine at that fancy restaurant you always wanted but unable to do so because of its rather unimpressive booking system, we have a solution for you. Enter Eat!
EAT is a restaurant discovery and reservations app that lets diners explore the best eateries in Dubai and the UAE and make bookings through their smartphones in just three easy clicks.

Why Eat?
It’s true that the restaurant business is booming now more than ever, and no one knows it better than us. With fine-dining restaurants launching almost every day, one would expect reservation methods to revolutionize as well, but that thought has somehow seemed to take a standstill and we’re left with fine dining eateries still resorting to orthodox methods of booking tables. Quite often, we notice that restaurants seem too busy to answer calls or their online reservation portals crash. There are also frequent instances when even if a reservation is made, the dates and times are wrongly recorded or personal celebratory messages aren’t recorded. Which is why the creation of this consumer app has improved the GCC’s restaurant reservations experience by integrating the latest technology and an intuitive interface with the ability to browse restaurants, see real-time table availability and make prompt reservations all from a smartphone device.

How does Eat work?
You can discover restaurants by filtering through locations, cuisines, price range, and table availability. The filters can also be combined in groupings you prefer to narrow down your search results. There is also a Map feature, which lets users see what restaurants are in their immediate geographic locality. Once you pick your desired restaurant, each restaurant profile comes with all the required information including descriptions, images, menus, dress code, opening times, location and special tags.
Using our Eat app, we filtered options for ‘Mediterranean’ and ‘DIFC’ and happened to find Boca. The booking process was super easy; all we had to do was select the date, time, number of people, type out any special requests and then ‘confirm’. The best part? Eat’s reservation software synced with Boca’s reservation system banishing the need for phone calls and reconfirmations. When we arrived at Boca, the restaurant was well prepared for our arrival and we had no issues whatsoever. Happy days!

Lunch at BOCA:
We started off with Foie Profiteroles filled with goose foie gras pate and topped with a thin layer of red onion chutney. The profiteroles were perfectly cooked and gooey inside and had a delicate crunch on the outside. The sweetness of the chutney complimented the saltiness of the foie gras perfectly well.
Next, we tried the Los Huevos Rotos Del Chef which was a texturally perfect starter comprising of crunchy chips, beef chorizo, aioli and bravas topped with a crispy poached egg. It was most definitely the best starter we’ve had at Boca. The combination of beef and aioli was delicious, and that perfectly crispy fried egg was flawless.

We also relished the 24 hour Wagyu meatballs with tomato sauce, pecorino romano cheese and crispy herbs. The flavors of the tomato sauce synced perfectly with the tender and juicy wagyu meat. Loved it!
One of the more distinctive items on the menu was the Smoked Burrata and Truffle Pizzetta. The use of truffle was generous and we loved the playful take of serving burrata on a pizza. The burrata had a lovely smoky flavor as well since it was baked. Yum!
Next, we tried the mushroom and truffle gnocchi with fried herbs. Loved how the gnocchi was presented with the size of the gnocci being comparatively small to most gnocchi dishes we’ve had. Although the flavor of the mushroom wasn’t evident enough, we enjoyed the dish nevertheless.

A classic at Boca are the grilled tiger prawns with chili oil and garlic. We’ve tried this before but never seem to get bored of it. The prawns were cooked just right and the simplicity of flavors helps the flavor of the shrimp shine through.
Another classic is the Boca potato chips that aren’t like any other potato chips we’ve had in terms of presentation, texture and flavor. The aioli and truffle mayo complimented the chips beautifully as well.

For dessert, we tried the even messier mille-feuille with almond praline, caramel and Grand Marnier Chantilly. Loved the rustic presentation of this deconstructed version of a classic mille-feuille. The cream lightened the dessert up and the almond praline added a beautiful crunch. Must try!
We also adored the Boca profiteroles that were generously served, airy and indulgently drenched with dark and white chocolate. The only element that was missing would have to be vanilla ice cream.

We ended our meal on a ‘tart’ note with a delicious and gorgeously presented lemon tart that was almost deconstructed yet beautifully plated. We loved the addition of different types of lemon for each component of the dessert. Absolutely divine!
